While building that Fantasy Football team you hope is destined for greatness, its always nice to add a little Bay Area flavor to it. Owning players on your favorite team makes things interesting. For example, I owned Frank Gore on one of my Fantasy teams and wanted him to score every point the 49ers scored throughout the entire regular season (Damn you David Akers). I found myself happy the 49ers scored yet I was disappointed it wasn’t Gore! As you can see it adds a little spice to your football watching experience.
Rankings
1.Darren McFadden
Target him in the third round. Hopefully in the end or towards the middle at the earliest. If he falls to the 4th its a steal. McFadden has the potential to be the top ranked fantasy player overall at the end of the season. The concern here is that he can’t manage to play a complete season. Injuries have plagued him.
2. Frank Gore
Frank Gore should go late 3rd, early 4th. Gore has been nothing but reliable for fantasy owners and I don’t see anything changing this season. He is still the guy in San Francisco despite their addition of LaMichael James and Brandon Jacobs. Gore is a safe pick without a ton of upside.
3. Vernon Davis
Vernon Should go in the 4th or 5th round he could still be available as late as 6th or 7th. I’m higher than most on Vernon this season. His momentum from last season should carry over and he will likely be the number one option in the passing game. He could have the best season of his career and possibly be the number 1 TE overall at the end of the season making him a steal.
4. Denarius Moore
Moore should be targeted late 8th round. He was explosive at times last season. The Raiders could be playing from behind a lot this season leading to him getting some extra yardage and Touchdowns. Moore has a ton of upside.
5. Michael Crabtree
Crabtree should be targeted in the late 10th or early 11th round. Despite him being labeled as somewhat of a disappointment, he has improved every year that he has been in the NFL. He wont be doubled much this year with the additions of Randy Moss and Mario Manningham. He could really benefit if Harbaugh puts more emphasis on the passing game this season.
