Glenn Dorsey’s season might not be over alter all.
The nose tackle tore his bicep earlier in training camp and was expected to miss out on all of the upcoming season. However, that has changed since Dorsey underwent what head coach Jim Harbaugh described as “a real good surgery.”
“They felt like it could not have gone better,” said Harbaugh of the report he received from the team’s doctors.
As Harbaugh explained, Dorsey could be back with the 49ers with n three-and-a-half months. Such a timeline means that Dorsey could land on the injured reserve/designated-for-return list.
“Well, there is a very good chance of that,” said Harbaugh. “But there’s still things that could happen before that decision would be made, but it would like it to happen, yeah. As an organization, we would like to see that happen.”
