On Friday, Jim Harbaugh tossed Anquan Boldin off the San Francisco 49ers practice field after the veteran wide receiver engaged in some extracurriculars with cornerback Darryl Morris. Boldin disagreed with Morris’ coverage and threw a football and a couple of punches at the second year corner before Harbaugh stepped in the middle of the scuffle.
When asked just what he’d said to the veteran after the dustup, the head coach declined to offer any details.
“No. I always like to think of those as between me and the player and not for public consumption,” said Harbaugh at a press conference on Monday.
Instead, Harbaugh dished out some praise for the 33-year-old.
“I mean, Anquan Boldin, there’s no more special practice player in all of football that I’ve ever seen. Special the way he practices. Special the way he loves making the tough catch and competing at practice. There’s nobody more special than him when it comes to practicing football.”
