Oakland Raiders Have Strong Interest in Former Eagles WR DeSean Jackson

The Oakland Raiders are among the teams interested in former Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson (Update- per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the interest is mutual).

While Jackson hasn’t made his decision as of writing this article, it is now known that the Raiders are among the teams with “strong interest” in the former Cal standout, who had a personal best 1,332 yards receiving in 2013 with 9 touchdown receptions playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Will the Raiders sign DeSean Jackson? At this point, they are one among many other teams who have expressed interest. However, one would assume that the team is one of the more appetizing options for Jackson, who is familiar with the Bay Area and would instantly become the Raiders leading deep threat in their revamped offense.

Surprisingly, the Carolina Panthers, who have a need at Wide Receiver have no interest in Jackson, per reports earlier today. However, other teams that are rumored to be interested in Jackson include the 49ers, the Jets, and the Chiefs.

The Raider Nation made their voices heard on Twitter on Friday night, making #DJaxToOakland a trending Twitter topic. Judging by the enthusiasm of the fan base, the move would be welcomed with open arms.
