San Jose Earthquakes Send Alan Gordon to LA Galaxy For Allocation Money

The Bash Brothers are no more.

On Monday, the San Jose Earthquakes announced that the club has sent Alan Gordon to the LA Galaxy in exchange for allocation money. In a statement released by the team, general manager John Doyle dished out some praise for the 32-year-old, who leaves as the ninth-leading scorer in San Jose’s history.

“We would like to thank Alan for everything he has done for this club. Alan has produced many great moments during his years with the Earthquakes. We wish him well going forward.”

Gordon didn’t score a single goal all season for the Quakes, and had never seemed to fully recover from offseason surgery. The striker previously played for the Galaxy from 2004-2010.
