Tomas Hertl is off to quite the start of the season, as well as the quite the start to his own career.
The Sharks are just three games into the season, and already the 19-year old Hertl has recorded a two-goal game and last night a FOUR-goal game.
Just to put that last part into perspective, Hertl is the youngest player since Jimmy Carson of the Los Angeles Kings back on March 30, 1988 to score four goals in a single game. He is the fourth youngest in NHL history to accomplish such a feat.
His performance also ties Owen Nolan for the Sharks team record. Owen Nolan also scored four goals in a game back on December 19, 1995.
